This is a one-time, non-refundable, $20 application fee required for the processing of your 2020 Deckhand Training Program application.

This is a competitive, paid, job-training program through Alaska Longline Fishermen's Association (ALFA). We typically receive over 100 applications per year, and place between 12-18 finalist deckhands with host skippers.

Application period closes on Feb. 28th, 2020. All applications will be reviewed in March. Finalist should start hearing back from skippers mid-April to late-June.

Wild Alaska Halibut Lovers Box Harvested by Long-Lining. Sweet, delicate flavor with a firm, flaky texture. Maintains its shape well and is especially suitable for grilling or roasting. All of our seafood is flash frozen or "fresher than fresh" to ensure its quality is maintained at the peak of freshness.

There are 2 different sizes of halibut:

1lb pieces: These pieces are vacuum sealed together into a 1 lb package

7-9 oz portions: These portions are individually flash frozen and vacuum sealed

Our Halibut Box comes in four sizes:

EXTRA SMALL: You
will receive 10 pounds of locally-caught, frozen Halibut. *Your choice
of 1 lb of pieces, 7-9 oz portions or an equal mix of both sizes.

SMALL: You
will receive 20 pounds of locally-caught, frozen Halibut. *Your choice
of 1 lb of pieces, 7-9 oz portions or an equal mix of both sizes.

MEDIUM: You will receive 30 pounds of locally-caught, frozen Halibut. *Your choice of 1 lb of pieces, 7-9 oz portions or an equal mix of both sizes.

LARGE: You will receive 40 pounds of locally-caught, frozen Halibut. *Your choice of 1 lb of pieces, 7-9 oz portions or an equal mix of both sizes.

They have an industry standard shelf life of 2 years, meaning they
will remain high quality for the duration of the shelf life.
